What is historically inspired architecture and design?
It is no accident that many people love older buildings, even if they can’t always explain why.
Historically inspired design weaves traditional form with modern functionality and conveniences to create timeless spaces you will cherish.
What is your design approach?
Too often, new construction emphasizes quantity more than quality. My approach to design is grounded in the idea that sensibly-sized, better-utilized spaces are more efficient, easier to maintain, and less expensive to heat, cool, and furnish.
Most importantly, they can be a more satisfying place to live or work - by design.
How do you charge for your services?
In most cases, I work on an hourly basis through all phases of the project. By visiting the ‘Services’ section of this website, you can see the range of services I provide.
What is your background?
A native of Cecil County on Maryland's Eastern Shore, I am a Registered Architect in the state of Maryland and a member in good standing of The American Institute of Architects. Prior to starting my own practice in 2005, I worked with architecture firms in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and most recently as a Project Architect with Versaci Neumann and Partners in the District of Columbia.
I am a 1992 graduate of the Pennsylvania School of Art and Design, and a 1995 graduate of Lebanon Valley College with degrees in Interior and Environmental Design.
